Snowshoeing

What's so special about snowshoeing?

Good question! But once you’ve been on snowshoes, you’ll know it! (They say that even die-hard ski tourers have been seen wearing snowshoes!) Untouched and snow-covered winter landscapes, loose powder snow, peace and solitude await the snowshoe hiker on his tours. Snowshoeing is ideal especially for “non-skiers” and individualists to enjoy the winterly outdoors. In recent years snowshoeing has become really popular in our latitudes and there are already many suppliers of tours and articles. For snowshoe tours you do not need any special training or skills, if you can walk, you can also go snowshoeing.

Guided snowshoeing tours

Three times a week from late December to early April, a guided snowshoe hike is offered through the tourist office. Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday a guide from the alpine school accompanies you through the glittering winter landscape of the Stelvio National Park. A tour costs Euro ca. 30,00 and takes place with at least 3 participants. You only need fixed mountain or hiking boots; snowshoes and sticks are available.

Conclusion: You no longer need to jealously listen to the stories of touring skiers. Snowshoes open up completely new possibilities and paths for you in breathtaking winter landscapes, regardless of the conditions on the cross-country tracks. Experience and feel the charm of hiking in untouched winter landscapes!
